A Journey Through Womanhood
"Goddesses" is a series of abstract figurative paintings by Julia Derbule, inspired by her extensive photographic career documenting women across the globe. Derbule, explores the strength and resilience inherent in Latin American women, resonating with women everywhere, transcending stereotypes, and celebrating their multifaceted identity.
Drawing inspiration from her photographic works and ancient goddesses like Pachamama and Chalchiuhtlicue, Derbule presents three distinct portraits.
